Who We Are

Play Video
Sexual Harassment: Not in Our School! is a free video+action plan created by SSAIS for families, schools, and organizations.

Stop Sexual Assault in Schools, a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit, invites you to join us as we address the impact of sexual harassment and violence on our nation’s students.

Unique

SSAIS is the first national nonprofit organization specifically created to address sexual harassment and assault in K-12 schools. In 2015, SSAIS started generating media attention about the normalization of sexual harassment in K-12, which continues into college, the workplace, and beyond. In 2018, SSAIS launched the impactful #MeTooK12 campaign.

Nationally-focused

SSAIS materials are for U.S. families in public and private schools but can be adapted for students outside the U.S. SSAIS collaborates with national organizations and is a member of the National Coalition for Women and Girls in Education (NCWGE).

Inclusive

SSAIS recognizes the importance of inclusivity, intersectionality, and an intergenerational approach to promoting change. We connect with grassroots advocates and diverse communities across the U.S.

Practical

We’re a one-stop resource for those who need information fast. We address sexual harassment and assault prevention, educate about students’ rights, identify resources, simplify the reporting process, provide sample complaints, and empower all with our unique resources, such as SASH Clubs (Students Against Sexual Harassment).

Collaborative

SSAIS relies on students, families, and community organizations to make change. We offer students community hours, engaging projects, and internships. We want your comments, ideas, and participation. Contact us and get involved!

Survivor-driven

SSAIS cofounders pursued accountability after their student was sexually assaulted on a school field trip. SSAIS advisors and volunteers transform traumatic events into a movement for change. We can all help end the cycle of violence, one student or school at a time.
